João spent the first 10 years of his professional life helping businesses to succeed. He worked at EY and BPP giving strategic and financial advice to entrepreneurs, management teams, investors and governments across several industries. After the MBA at IE Business School he started his activity as entrepreneur building impact ventures.

Since 2014 João is the CEO and Co-founder of Code For All, a social business focusing in identifying, selecting, training, and placing amazing untapped talent working as software developers and he is also the CEO and Co-founder of ubbu, a computer science and programming platform created for kids with the vision of making young minds ready for the future by turning them into logical thinkers, problem solvers and skilful conscious citizens while having fun.

In 2016 the European Commission considered Code For All as a best practice in the category “Digital Skills for ICT Professionals”, in 2018 Code For All was considered by Financial Times as one of the “Top100 Europe’s Road to Growth” and in 2022 Code For All was recognized as “Best for the World” in the category Customers among the B Corp movement.
